The mental health project regional task force has conducted a regular quarterly meetings on July 17, 2020, at Karamara Ras hotel, Dire Dawa.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the mental health clinical and awareness advocacy capital project developed by the regional task force for the 2012 E.C. budget year in the Dire Dawa Administration. The mental health task force group has been exerting various efforts to enhance and improve services and policies regarding mental illness. Overall accomplishment report was presented by Ato Abel Shiferaw, mental health focal at regional health bureau. A total of 14 participants attended the meeting.
During the meeting, W/ro Lemlem Bezabeh, head of regional health bureau attended the meeting and she said that “I was glad to take part in this meeting even if I managed to arrive late. Currently, the bureau is in crisis even so it is crucial to work on mental health. I will do my very best to make free medication issue is endorsed.”
