PAD has Distributed Limu Variety Maize Seeds to Drought-Affected Communities in Siraro Woreda with the Support of #EHF

PAD has successfully distributed Limu variety maize seeds to 1,000 drought-affected households in Siraro Woreda, West Arsi Zone, with the support of the Ethiopian Humanitarian Fund (EHF). These improved seeds, selected by the community, are known for their productivity and ability to withstand dry conditions.

By providing drought-tolerant seeds, #PAD is helping farmers increase food production, ensure more reliable harvests, and improve food security. Each household received 1 bag of seeds (33,000 seeds), enough to cover 0.5 hectares of land. This initiative supports economic recovery, reduces the risk of crop failure, and promotes sustainable farming practices to help communities adapt to changing climate conditions.
